EVENT ORGANIZATION
This event will be split into (2) 1.5 hour sections, each with a specific focus.
SECTION 1: BEING COMPETITIVE AND STRATEGY
FOCUS ONE: COMPETITIVE
- How do you determine what "being competitive" means for your specific team?
- What do you consider your team to be competing against (your training, the hide, the environment, the other competitors)?
- How do you adjust your approach depending on the level you are competing in?
- Do you have the same approach across all venues or is it more specified?
- How have you changed or adjusted your approach to be the most competitive?
FOCUS TWO: STRATEGY
- How do you form your strategies for the various levels?
- What are your strategies when trialing with multiple dogs?
- How can you assess if a given strategy is working or not?
- Are strategies designed to fit a dog, level, class or environmental condition?
SECTION 2: SECRET SAUCE TO TRIALING (1.5 HOURS)
FOCUS ONE: TRAINING LEADING UP TO TRIAL DAY
- What is your training "secret sauce" approach a month out from trial day?
- How does this change two weeks out from trial day?
- Any changes one week out from trial day?
- What do you do a few days before trial day?
FOCUS TWO: TRIAL DAY
- On trial day, what is your routine for success?
- How do you best support your dog? Yourself? Your team?
- What strategic and competitive decisions are making on trial day? How do these differ when you are training?
- What do you wish more competitiors did on trial day?
