Ana’s life has revolved around dogs for over thirty years, from shelter volunteer dog walker and
trainer to competing with her own dogs in Obedience, Rally, Parkour, Agility, Barn Hunt, Herding
and Nosework. For the past ten years she has been focused primarily on Nosework. What
started as a recovery activity after TPLO surgery turned into a passion and a career.

In addition to competing in both NACSW and AKC up to Elite and Detective levels with her own
dogs, Ana has been a AKC Scent Work judge since 2020, and has been coaching students both
in person and virtually since 2018.

In October 2023 she started her own business, Rotts-n-Notts Nosework LLC, honoring her long
admiration and love for Rottweilers, as well as paying tribute to her “Nottweiler” who started
nosework at the age of 16. She has enjoyed the company of thousands of dogs of all ages,
breeds and combinations, with their handlers, building skills and conquering challenges.

Aside from teaching and coaching, Ana also presents seminars and workshops on a variety of
topics and has done several webinars from an AKC Judge’s Perspective on the program itself,
as well as the different elements and levels. She is also an NACSW ORT and Trial host,
opening up opportunities in her area for more fun!
