Search Decisions: From Start to Finish Seminar

Deciding when to call “Finish” can become harder when time is running out and you’re questioning whether you have done enough. Preparing some of those decisions before the search gives you a process to follow.

This seminar brings together three tools: a search plan, a personalized checklist for calling “Finish,” and a decision tree for choices made during the search. We’ll consider how the environment, equipment, your goals, and your dog’s training affect those decisions and how to build a process that fits your team.

We’ll also examine what happens afterward: reviewing your decisions against the checklist, identifying anything you missed, and deciding what needs to change. These tools apply at every level and can develop with your team as searches become more complex.
