In a recent episode of the K9 Scent Fix - Find Your Fix - Sport Dog Scent Detection Podcast, Jill discussed the fun and frustrating topic of when to call "Alert" in both training and in trial. The WHEN can be quite different based upon the level of the dog, their trial level and experience, as well as environmental factors which affect odor behavior and what it does at that moment on that day in training or in trial.
