Displacement Sniffing and Other Stress Behaviors Webinar

Come take a deep dive with Sue Sternberg to learn more about displacement sniffing as it relates to Scent Work. Handlers can find it easier to recognize displacement sniffing in situations such during an agility run or an interaction between two or more dogs. But what about during a Scent Work search? If our dogs are already sniffing to find their hides, how can we tell if and when they are all of a sudden taking a cigarette break? Or sniffing target odor and then dog odor?!

Are there any clues? Are there any triggers? And most importantly, can we avoid the triggers and help our dogs when they might be feeling a tad overwhelmed?
