When it comes to teaching Scent Work, it is easy to fall into the trap of simply setting hides, allowing dogs to hunt and calling it a day! This approach neglects so many other facets to this activity and can very well leave dog and handler teams lacking in crucial skills and understanding.
WEBINAR DETAILS
As instructors, it is our job to not merely explain "HOW" our clients are to do something, but also the "WHY" and "WHEN". In essence, we instructors should be guiding our human clients to become little baby trainers in their own right! This approach ensures they may confidently and mindfully work with their dogs outside of our classes or private sessions.
In this 90-minute webinar, we will discuss ways instructors can be more mindful in how they deliver their instruction, ways to build and nurture more thoughtful training and practice sessions from their clients and identify common pitfalls to avoid.
