Do you wonder if a passive alert may help you read your dog better? Do you have a “destructiveness” problem you want to fix? Learn the pros and cons, the potential fallout, and how to train a passive alert if you deem it is a good fit for you and your dog.

WEBINAR DETAILS

A trained alert is simply a behavior a dog is trained to do when they reach odor. Active/aggressive alerts are behaviors like barking and scratching, passive alerts are sitting, lying down, or the latest trend, freezing. Many methods of Nose Work or Scent Work begin and prioritize the development of a clear and consistent alert behavior, while other methods allow a dog to choose whatever behavior comes naturally.

In this 90-minute webinar, we will discuss different methods of teaching the passive alert and whether or not it is right for you and your dog.
