Odor obedience is essential when doing Scent Work, but what comes afterwards? As you progress into multiple hide searches, your dog must always be looking for the next unfound hide.
How many times has your dog got stuck going back to a hide you already found? Or you missed a converging odor problem because you had to keep moving your dog on since you were worried that they would get stuck? Perhaps your dog will not leave the first hide they found or even gets frustrated when you try to urge them on? How many times have you missed a hide at a trial because of this? The answer is to take the next step and teach your dog obedience to unfound odor!
In this presentation, Judith do just that, talking about how to take this next step beyond odor obedience. Be fearless about your dog anchoring off a found hide to work a convergence. Have confidence that they have found all the hides available to them. Abolish frustration, increase efficiency, shave time off your searches, and truly trust your dog!
