In all seriousness, our primary objective and focus should be to keep our dogs safe. This also applies when we are training or trialing in Scent Work.
During this event, we will discuss ways to keep our Scent Work practice and trialing sessions safer, some common pitfalls to avoid and much more.
Some of the topics will include:
- mindfully choosing how we design our searches
- thinking through how we set our hides, the types of odor vessels we use, etc.
- how we tackle our searches
- making thoughtful choices of when and where to tria
- fully appreciating who our dog is and what their needs are
