Combo Odors
In the upper levels of competition, teams may encounter an odor problem where a single hide contains multiple q-tips scented with Birch, Anise and Clove or any combination therein. This is an advanced odor problem which can trip up many teams. This course will provide a variety of exercises to help teams navigate this advanced odor problem.
Course Details
Our motto at SWU is to always train for more than you will see in competition. This way teams are comfortable and prepared, and not over-faced or surprised when they arrive to the trial site. This 6-week course is designed to do just that. Exercises will be designed to maintain drive and enthusiasm with the hunt, while also teaching dogs how to indicate combo odor hides and single odor hides which may be in the same search area.
