When we are competing at a Scent Work trial, there are a lot of people our dogs may have to contend with, even when tackling their searches. There are trial officials, trial staff, gate stewards, score runners, photographers and videographers, volunteers and spectators. Ask yourself this question, are you properly preparing your dog to cope with all of these people?
We will discuss ways you can do just that in this webinar! Purposefully devoting time in our training to get our dogs acclimated to the fact that people will be out and about, watching them as they are searching is good for all dogs, not just those dogs who happen to be more on the sensitive side.
Both handlers and instructors alike will find this presentation helpful.
