COURSE MATERIAL TO BE RELEASED WEEKLY STARTING AUGUST 7TH.

You and your dog are getting ready to embark on the Master level of competition in AKC Scent Work trials. This means they must be introduced to and learn to value Cypress as a new target odor.

In this 6-week course, we will discuss how to do this while maintaining and building the value in Birch, Anise and Clove as well as present the dog with the types of searches they will encounter in Master and Detective level trials.

Are you trialing in AKC Scent Work? Ensure you and your dog are properly prepared by building their love for hunting for Cypress, maintaining the value of the other target odors, reinforcing their foundation and further developing their ability to solve more complex odor puzzles.

Are you a Scent Work instructor? Gain ideas to incorporate into your own program to help introduce Cypress in an incremental and effective way to ensure teams are successful and ready to tackle AKC Scent Work Master-level searches.

COURSE OUTLINE

The Introducing Cypress Course is designed to provide the same exact learning experience we provided to our in-person group dog training classes in a virtual format. Same great quality with more flexibility and convenience!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

your dog
collar (flat or martingale)
harness (back-clip) (optional)
leash (6'-8') long line (10'-15')
treats (high-value and smelly)
crate or area your dog can wait while you set-up your searches boxes
minimum of 25 boxes of various sizes (good excuse to shop at Amazon!)
Birch, Anise, Clove and Cypress scented q-tips and odor vessels (prepared using the AKC Scent Work odor preparation method)
earthquake putty or GlueDots
